We ask institutions about their responsibilities.
Questions address rules, decisions and documents. Private-life speculation is not our reporting objective. A question does not establish misconduct.
Prepared is not sent.
Every question starts as Ready to send. Only an actual, logged request gets a send date. Another publication’s outreach never starts our clock.
The clock starts at zero.
We display elapsed calendar days in UTC from the actual send date. The day of sending is day 0. Answered and declined questions stop displaying a waiting clock. A response deadline is a separate date, not an allegation of wrongdoing.
Replies stay visible.
We publish substantive answers, including answers that resolve concerns. Contact logs preserve follow-ups and replies. Any redaction of personal contact details or confidential material must be explained.
Closing is public.
One answered question makes a case Partially answered. A closed case needs an explained resolution; silence alone cannot establish a finding.
Corrections are part of the story.
Material corrections appear on the case and in the site-wide log. Publication dates and send dates are never rewritten to manufacture urgency.
Follow-ups require real reporting.
We intend to follow unresolved questions regularly. No automated email campaign or weekly publication is currently running. Article headlines must describe work that actually happened.
