There has been multiple 4:44 posters and ads in the Empire city with little to no information on what it represented and who it was. We now know that it’s Jay-Z’s newest project.
Jay-Z’s last album was Magna Carta Holy Grail, which was released back in 2013. Aside from that, he has been pretty under the radar. It’s hard to find the time to release and work on new music while also becoming a father to his and Beyonce’s twins, maintaining his own sports agency, and winning the first rapper to be inducted into the Songwriter’s Hall of Fame.
There has been a lot of mystery and speculation over Jay-Z’s upcoming project 4:44, but no one knows what it was… until now that is. He has been keeping his work to himself and not sharing anything about 4:44, so fans were unsure if it was a new album, film, or both, but now it has become clearer that it is a visual album.
Jay-Z finally announced a release date for 4:44 on June 30th, being premiered on TIDAL x Sprint. The anticipation has been heavy due to Jay-Z’s secretive movements for this project, but by the end of the month, it will all become more apparent.
There was a 30-second clip of the track Adnis, his father’s name, which is premiered on Tidal x Sprint. No one is sure when the full-length record will be released, but for now, you can catch the bars that he spits in the short clip below.
Jay-Z, the legend, is finally releasing something next week, which has all of his fans excited. Even Barack Obama was hype off the new album. He later then tweeted all of his inspirations and a thank you to Obama for claiming him as the ‘best rapper of all time.’
